Over the past three months, I have been having an ongoing battle with my upload speed. Now keep in mind that my download speed is not an issue. I’ve been a Cox Subscriber for nearly eight years, and have the Cox Preferred Internet package. According to this package, I should be getting 5mbps upload speed. Lately, that has not been the case. My upload speeds will fluctuate, and go as low as 0.37mbps! Sometimes, I’ll be getting my speeds, and then next, they will drop. This is random throughout the day, but mornings seem to show better results.
I have had eight technicians come out. They have done the following over the past month:
-Checked splitters, installed new splitters. Problem still there
-Checked the box on the side of my apartment building. Problem still there
-Issued me a “test” modem. Problem still there.
-Completely removed old line, and splitters, and ran a new line from the box, directly to my modem. No splitters involved. Problem still there.
I have returned the test modem, and am now using a Motorolla SURFboard Arris SBG6900-AC Modem Wi-Fi Router. I just bought it. This is a top of the line product, and I am STILL experiencing these horrible upload speeds. I’ve ran two tests while typing this. The first was on Speedtest, the second, using Cox’s Internet Test.

The second test was on the Test My Connection page on Cox’s own site, which rendered a “Test Timed Out” when trying to do the upload portion of the text. I wonder why…
After dealing with this for the past three months, and dealing with even horrible upload speeds for the past month, having tech after tech come out, you would have figured that they would have escalated this issue to a higher priority, and would have someone coming out to resolve this issue. If I can’t get tech support to fix this issue after eight technicians, then what am I left to do?
Will this issue ever get resolved? Does Cox even care that I am a near eight-year customer, and I need their help in getting this fixed? Or am I left to drop my service, and switch to someone else?

Are these wired or wireless tests?
Also, do you just have the SBG6900 or any router connected to it?
Last, what are your signal levels? Should be available from Status > Connection tab from the router's website. See page 56-57 of manual for more info.
