Forwarded messages

My e-mail, fxxxxx@cox.net is supposed to be forwarded to fxxxxx@gmail.com.  This appears to be set up correctly.  However, in the specific case cited here and in at least 2 other incidents I am aware of, the e-mail was not forwarded.  No filters have been selected.

This e-mail was not found in g-mail but is in the cox e-mail:

Sent to me 7-1-2014, from dxxxx@yahoo.com, titled Logistics for Communion by Intinction.

Last week an e-mail from axxxx@aol.com was sent to me but not received.  I am aware of another such instance as well.

Why are these e-mails not being forwarded to g-mail?

Thank you,

Peggy Free

First, you probably want to edit you post to remove personal info. Just use "user@gmail" or "jill@yahoo.com".

Maybe try resending the same email to yourself and see if it forwards the second time? This would tell you if its something to do with the email or a glitch in the forwarding system.

Thank you.  I thought I was writing an e-mail, not a post.  Now I cannot delete the personal info?

You should be able to. Look for the "edit" option on the bottom right of your post. Or you can use the "Report Abuse" function and ask a moderator to remove it for you.

Hi Freebee,

I edited your post so the full email addresses are hidden.

There are 2 forwarding options in Cox WebMail; "Forward and keep a copy" and "Forward then discard." What is your current setting?

If you have the Forward Rule set up to keep a copy, did the two emails you mention make it to your Cox account? (The email from "Logistics@yahoo" and the email with the aol.com address.)

If you have the rule set to "Forward then discard," it might be worth it to change it to "Forward and keep a copy" for a while.
