Europe email
I am in Europe (Austria right now) and it seems Cox is blocking all my outgoing emails from my email account. Why is this? What can I do to stop this blocking? Is there something I am not doing correctly? It also seems I can't log into webmail. I try to login and all I get is "This webpage is not available".

It sounds like your IP address is being blocked by a third party spam filter company. Can you open a new browser window and type in http://whatismyip.com, that will tell you the IP you are using. Please send an email with the IP, and the username that you are logging in with? Thanks!

Derrick,
I am sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I have been using another email account for all my email. My COX email is still not working. If I VPN to my company back home I can log into the cox.net webmail and get my mail on my computer through IMAP/SMTP. However, when I am just using the provider here in Austria, and other countries, I can't send email. I can receive the messages, just not send.
I don't know how to send you my IP address. Can you tell me how to do that?
David

If you have another email address that you can send from besides your Cox email you can send it to cox.help@cox.com. I would not advise you to post your IP to our forums.

I am having a similar problem. I am currently Overseas. I am using a Mac. My sent emails are not reaching their destinations if I use the Mail software. When I go through webmail into my sent items box, the emails show as being sent. If I log into webmail, type the email and send it, it shows up in the webmail sent items box, and it makes it to its destination.

Who is that provider/ISP? Maybe they have a SMTP server you can use, or better yet a relay server you can send email through.
Also, I think Cox can see your public IP if they can see your modem. This is a good site to check if the IP is blocked.
Last, the headers from the bounce back email would be useful. That will tell us who/what is exactly blocking it.
