ESPN3 Support Question...
Sirs -
We do all of our TV viewing via the internet. We often watch sporting events on ESPN3. I have noticed that when watching, Cox has an advertising banner in the top right corner of the screen, so it looks like you support this option as you have advertisements attached to it..
When I downloaded the WatchESPN App from the ESPN3 website to my iPad to watch game on it instead of through my laptop, I am asked to choose a service provider. There are several cable companies listed, but not Cox Cable. So, my laptop and my iPad which are being fed from the same WiFi source can't both watch ESPN3.
Is there anyway Cox can be added as a provider from the WatchESPN app?
Thanks.

ESPN requires a fee from service carriers like us in order to offer this channel to our viewers. At this time we are not a participcating provider and at this time I don't have any information to offer as to where we are with negotiations with this service.

If Cox is not a participating provider, why do several of the Internet packages promote the access of ESPN3 as a benefit? Is this not false advertisement? If there is no agreement between ESPN and COX, perhaps that "benefit" should be removed from the website.

This same problem is occurring on espn3's main site now as well. Cox even in injects their logo there, yet any of the prompts which require logins which USED to allow me to login via my Cox ID don't anymore. I am trying to watch the KSU @ Baylor game tonight while I do some gaming upstairs on my PC, where I don't have a TV. I pay for Cox cable and could go downstairs and watch it on ESPN, but I want to watch it on my computer and I CAN'T because yet again another stupid contract negotiation failure is preventing me from doing so.
You sponge up all of our money and then you still find a way to make it impossible to view things how WE choose. You are basically saying "no, you can't watch it on that device. You have to watch it on this one." What good are you???? I think the most frustrating part is I USED to be able to access ESPN3 and all its streams, now cannot. Giving your customers something and then taking it away while continuing to state that you offer it, then the next month (I think we are about due, right?) continuing to raise the rates is absolutely deplorable. Ah, to be a monopoly.
Please do something about this.

I agree and used this service all the time! Please work out the situation with espn3/watchespn. It's extremely frustrating to have elements of our service taken away from us as costs continue to rise.
