does anyone else find contour un-user friendly?
I have had dish services with other providers and recently moved back to az from NY where I had time-warner. we loved twc and the cable was very user friendly we decided to give cox a chance and can't stand the format of things... are we alone in this?

Are you talking about Contour or Contour 2? Contour 1 is a mutated love child between Cisco and Cox while Contour 2 is a licensed product from Comcast. From the look of the TWC UI you would probably like Contour 2.
Also, looks like some people didn't like the TWC new DVR UI. See TWC forum here on it. Beauty is in the keyboard of the programmer.

Thank you, I'm new to this cable, so I'm guessing it is contour 1. No where does it say contour 2. I will look into the 2nd version I'm just extremely let down with the service and it seems like everything takes 3x longer to get to than it should. If I want to search a show I should be able to just search not scroll through a tv channel listing. and the file selection process just seems to be such a pain in the bottom. with TWC I was able to search from the guide by title, than select a show, and click record. done.

from the guide screen you should be able to hit the Yellow A triangle button. Should be able to search by, title, keyword, cast & crew
