Digital Switch

If the switch for Tulsa isn't until August 2015, why do I have to get the mini box now or by May 26th? Will the 'free year' for one box begin in August or when I order it? Confused here.

Went to Cox in Tulsa and picked up 2 mini boxes Saturday. It is definitely worth the extra month or two of cost to be able to receive all of the channels I pay for rather than just the few I was receiving on the sets only connected to the wall. The mini box gives you the same service level as your main box except for the premiums and DVR recordings.

We have different promotions available with the digital transition. We will have to review the account to see what your account qualifies for and the terms and conditions for that particular promotion. Please email cox.help@cox.com with the account details and a link to this post.

You will only be able to get the Starter and Essential channels that you are in billing for and there HD equivalent channels. If you want to get the additional digital (Bonus, Sports & Information, Movie, and Variety pack) or premium channels (HBO, Cinemax, Starz, and Showtime) on the TV, you will need a receiver and not a mini box.
