My data usage meter is not only stuck at zero, but also stuck on last month. I'm transferring a lot of data (for a backup) and I would like to use this gauge to keep from going over my monthly allowance. Can we get this fixed please?

When I try to access the Data usage Meter, it says it is undergoing maintenance. Trouble is, it has been in this status all week. What REALLY gives here???

Hi tghowe & LanceSummers,
We will need to investigate this issue for you. Can you email the team at cox.help@cox.com with your service address?

hi, I am getting the same issue with my data usage meter. Instead of the meter appearing, the page says "Your Data Usage Meter is undergoing maintenance. Please try again in 24 hours."
It's been this way for the past week. Any idea what's going on? Thank you..

I emailed the address you gave .... and they responded that everything is fine on their end . That it must be on my end . They suggested that I install Firefox , and if that didn't help , to reinstall the operating system .
I just updated to Windows 8.1 , and that was a disaster . It deleted half of my games , that I now have to redownload . That is over 200 GB of data . This may be a joke to some people in your office , but it isn't to me . I'm disabled , and my wife can tell you that having internet access , and playing MMO's helps keep me from going stir crazy . Being told " Install Firefox or reinstall your operating system" is a slap in the face . I am currently going to school to become a network engineer specializing in network security . I also build computers in my spare time ( when I'm having a good day AND have no school ) . So I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to computer problems .I know you get a lot of people that SAY they know what's going on , but few actually do , so I can let this slide .
Still ..... this has been an ongoing problem for over 9 days now . I have posted on this forum and on the DSLReports forum and received no help as of yet . Only the most idiotic of suggestions most likely made by the lowest paid person in the call center.

They suggested you try Firefox? Was your issue that the bandwidth monitor said it is undergoing maintenance? If so please post that email chain. LOL
What I hope is they realized the bandwidth monitor is very broken (as seen on a very long thread on this forum) and they are upgrading it. I think its good they are upgrading and put up a message as such. They aren't going to come out and say it though. And they are unlikely to enforce any Caps this month...so if anything..download to your hearts content. Its likely a unlimited month.

Hmm. As far as I can see, you haven't emailed cox.help@cox.com, or we wouldn't have suggested any of that.
There is an issue with the bandwidth meters right now. The maintenance warning shows up for just about everyone as far as I know, but the actual meter still appears. For a small number of customers, the meter doesn't even appear at all, though we can still see the data counter on our side.
For the customers who get the warning but still see the meter, there's no need to worry. I have that issue myself, and the meter shows my overage just fine. For the customers who don't get the meter at all, we can open a ticket to add them to the ongoing troubleshooting being done with the meter and in some cases have their issue investigated individually.
Bandwidth warnings are still going to be emailed, those are an automatic process. But our enforcement of the bandwidth usage policy has never been what I would consider draconian anyway, so don't expect us to cut off your service or anything.
Our engineers in Atlanta should have this all straightened out soon.

So the maintenance issue is Cox doesn't know how to take down the maintenance issue sign? In my opinion if you admit your bandwidth monitor is undergoing maintenance why would I refer to it or take any of your bandwidth readings as fact? I will monitor my own bandwidth and use any warnings I get as kindling. They get my fireplace roaring in no time.

I had the usage tool and the down for maintenance message about a day before I lost the usage tool. That is going on two weeks now and about the same time the new health care website crashed.Kinda ironic wouldn't u say ? Not saying theres a connection but if u want to sign up for HC or make sure you're not streaming to much a lot of people are screwed.I use the tool almost daily although I never exceed the allowed amount just for convenience.

I assure you that the issues with our Data Usage Meter have no relation to the Healthcare website. We are continuing to work on the meter and appreciate your patience.
