Recently my Cox TV connect app is not working, it gives me the live tv not available message, stating that im not connected to my home network. The app was working last night and this seems to happen every so often now. I have had the same Ipad for years and the same modem/wifi. Whats the deal? No point in having your service if it wont work.

Your IP may have changed and it doesn't match the one on file with Cox. Some have found getting your modem "re-provisioned" fixes the issue. See this thread. Also, make sure the internet detects your on a Cox IP. This site will tell you.

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the app or tried the Contour app? It wouldn't hurt for me to reprovision your modem, though the modem will reset. Let me know when would be a good time to do it.

If you didn't want to troubleshoot the issue, why did you post here?

This issue sometimes occurs after an iPad iOS update. Uninstall the app, reboot the iPad, and then reinstall the app. Please let us know if this clears the error!

Hello jd728,
Please have your ipad "forget" the home wireless network that you are currently using and then set it back up for the same network. Please make sure you have your password and network name before doing so and let us know if that helps.
Thanks

Allan, could you explain why you suggested this? Not saying its a bad idea, just curious of your logic. DNS cache? I thought resetting the Ipads network settings do that. You have me intrigued.

This approach can be a simple step to try resetting the network connection. I've done this with my cell phone at home on occasion to clear up problems with partial connectivity to my wifi.
