Contour 2 App

I could set my DVR to record programs remotely using old Cox TV connect app.  Now that I can't use that app and have to use Contour 2 app instead, I don't see how to set my DVR to record.  Is there something I'm missing?

While the Contour 2 system features many significant enhancements over the original system remotely scheduling a recording is one feature that is not included with this system.

When we built the original Contour platform we built it with that feature in mind.  The new system however simply does not have that feature.

Why would you not keep this in mind for the new app when it is one of the most important features? Please pass along to development they need to resolve this as the app is pretty much useless without it. At least let us use the old app instead of forcing us to use a feature lacking "improved?" App.

I would have to agree with that.  I would think with your market research you should realize that is one of the most common uses for the app.  It is kind of useless otherwise.

The Cox TV Connect App has been renamed the Cox Mobile Connect App. While the Contour 2 app does not allow for remote DVR scheduling, the Cox Mobile Connect app does. If you do not currently have this app installed, it can be downloaded by accessing the Contour 2 app and going into settings and selecting Cox Apps. Please let us know if you have any trouble scheduling within the Cox Mobile Connect App.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this questions. The Contour 2 app is a downgrade from the previous app. It has pretty much 0 functionality and is useless. How do you "replace" an app with a new one when it does not have the same functionality?? Simple answer: you don't. it's a bad business decision. An even better question: How about ONE Cox Communications app??? Why do I need 3 different Cox apps to do what I should be able to do in a single app.
