I went into a cox service center and they do have the DPC3825 and when I tried to replace my netgear they told me that the only way to get the cisco gateway device is that I have cox phone why is that?
Perhaps they were mistaken. They may have DPC3925's which do require phone service. The 3825 is an integrated modem/router gateway device where as the 3925 is the same but also with integrated phone service.
