Anonymous Call rejection

Does this service apply to numbers that appear on my Caller ID as "Unavailable,"or "Private," or both??

It's my understanding this applies to calls that would normally arrive as private or intentionally blocked caller ID.

It won't block the Name Unknown or Name Unavailable callers.  Which is frustrating because the spammers and scammers use both as part of their "spoofing" technique. I currently pay for the Anonymous Call Rejection.

It will stop the Private.

The proper protocol is...if your caller ID can't display the number, it should display either Private or Unknown.  Those are the only two machine-coded flags:  Private and Unknown.

Private because the owner requested his service provider to not advertise his number.  Unknown because the information is not available to display.

As Yak mentioned, scammers are inventing flags to bypass your blocks.

I have received the following spoofed flags:
 - Name Unavailabl
 - Phone
 - Test
 - Toll Free
 - Unavailable
 - Unknown Name

...and these appear in either the name or number portion of the caller ID.

I've received more spoofed flags than proper flags, so Anonymous Call Rejection won't block many calls.  It's a waste of money.

A good way to remember the proper flags is "Unknown Soldier"...and associate that with "Unknown Private"...you know, an unknown private in the Army.
