I want to add an outside tv to my system. Can I use an HD receiver for this? Also, can I run an hdmi cable >30 feet to connect without degradation of a tv signal? Or does the receiver need to be proximal to the tv?
At the cable access can I use a splitter to a contour box and to a hd receiver?

Yes, you would need an active HDMI cable, like the Monoprice RedMere line of cables. Don't even try a cheaper passive cable.

Yes, yes, no, do you have WHDVR?

Yes. If you have a Whole Home DVR (WH-DVR) network, you can add an HD client receiver to this TV. If you do not have WH-DVR, you can still add an HD receiver.
