No Season 7 episode 8 on Outlander
I signed up to Starz on Cox so I could watch the newest episodes of Outlander. But there is a problem. There is no episode 8. It jumps from Season 7 episode 7 to Season 9 episode . Cox has all the rest of the episodes except 8. I contacted Starz but they said this is a Cox problem. Please direct this to the proper person at Cox Comm Omaha and get this rectified.
Freezing Regularly
For months now, we experience freezing on MSNBC and Padres channels. There may be others, but these seem to be the most problematic. We have Contour 4K modems for the TV’s with strong signals. Rebooting helps, but the issue returns after a few hours. We have a high-end system with Cox 2gig Internet, 8K and 4K TV’s, and strong WiFi connectivity.
Suspicious Activity Question
I got an email from Cox about suspicious activity involving traffic from an IP address to/from my address and to start monitoring the network logs. Does anyone know where these logs are located? I checked the logs on the panorama modem, but I don't know if those are it since those logs don't include the IP addresses. Any help is appreciated.Jeannetay
Sorry your replies got turned off before I could actually answer your question. COX Doesn't have Senior Discounted service. If you got a call concerning that, and was offered that discount, it was a SCAM! Scammers call offering to be from your cable company, your electric company, Etc Etc, for the task of stealing your money. They get people to pay upfront, if you have done this contact your credit card and try to get the charges reversed. I make it my mission to call these people, or answer their calls, and tie them up for as long as possible, because while they are attempting to scam me, (and I know better), they aren't stealing money from someone else. If you even google, "Does Cox offer senior discounts", you get this answer - No Senior Discount: Cox doesn't offer discounts based on age.
Gigabit Speed Only on Speedtest.net
Hello there! As the title states, I only see Gigabit speeds on speedtest.net. Any other download or speed test tops out around 550mbps-600mbps. If I turn on a VPN through WireGuard, I get the full gigabit speeds on those same speedtests that only provided 500mbps just a minute before. It seems a lot like aggressive traffic shaping, though I'm thankful that my VPN, which shows up at 'other' in my bandwidth usage, appears to get the same priority as speedtest.net. Maybe because they can't identify the traffic, it bypasses the QoS rules? Does anyone else experience this? This wouldn't be a provisioning issue is it? I am in Ocala, FL.
New Yahoo Mail
New Yahoo Mail is available by clicking the "Try the new Yahoo Mail" button in the upper right. Here are a few things you may want to know. Settings are no longer accessed from a gear box icon in the upper right. Scroll to the bottom of folders and click the three dots in the lower left corner of Inbox. Select "Settings from the menu list. By default, inbox messages are separated into five, tab categories. To sort all messages together, select "Personalize inbox" from the Settings menu and turn off "Inbox categories". Messages can be scheduled to send later. After drafting a message, select the down arrow on the Send button at the bottom and select the time the message should be sent. Messages that have been scheduled to be sent may be viewed by selecting "Scheduled" from the Settings menu. A verification prompt is displayed when deleting messages but deleted messages don't go to "Trash". You may switch back to the old Yahoo Mail (for now) by selecting "Switch to Old Yahoo Mail" in Settings. The uBlock Origin browser extension successfully blocks all ads in MS Edge.
Phoenix area so called unplanned outage!
What is the deal with all of the unplanned outages at around the same time in the morning? I find it hard to believe that they are unplanned outages, more like planned during a time of less impact, or customer complaints. I just spent nearly an hour on a live chat with Cox while he couldn't connect to my equipment and started wanting to schedule a technician, during this time I couldn't get into either one of my Cox apps and I was told that there were no outages. Finally I got through to one of my apps and it said that there experiencing an unplanned outage. And I told the guy on chat and he took a while to respond and said yes they just updated the system and it showed an outage. So it takes them nearly an hour to discover an outage? This is getting ridiculous and I am now getting a third credit in my bill for outages. I can't afford Cox to begin with but nothing else is available where I live which should be illegal. But I would suggest to everyone out there to let them know when you have an outage you want some money back from your bill.Spam? Block Works!
I set Spam? blocker to block all (high, medium, & low) which is working. Thank-you. My call history shows that of the 32 robocalls received in the last 30 days, 21 were blocked. And for some reason, the total calls have dropped 62%, from 85 a month last year. Has someone in the world-wide telephone system found a way to block a lot of them at their source or am I just in a lucky streak?
