The problem: On Friday, 6/27/2025, I encountered the following previously reported (and resolved) search problem associated with Contour 1 DVRs: While I can see the TV guide entries well into the future by scrolling through the guide, when I do a search for a specific show (e.g., "Mannix", "ABC World News") I am unable to get any hits (this time) beyond Monday, 6/30/2025. I have unplugged/waited-a-few-minutes/plugged in the DVR to let the software and guide reload, but that did not help. That day (Friday), I submitted the problem to cox.help@cox.com. Cox Help (CCI-Atlanta)/"Juan" quickly responded and submitted a trouble ticket (number CUI000017461739). As of this moment, 12:40 pm (Eastern) Sunday, 6/29/2025, the problem has not been fixed. I'll report back on this forum when the problem is resolved. The problem was most recently identified in this forum by RickH about a month ago. Background: This exact same problem has occurred several times in the past, most recently one month ago. Following are the occurrences and the associated ticket numbers: 6/27/2025 - (current occurrence) - ticket CUI000017461739 5/26/2025 - ticket CUI000017335487 4/4/2025 - ticket CUI000017198245 12/2/2024 - ticket CUI000016769324 8/16/2019 (I don't have that ticket number). Having the above ticket numbers should help the technicians more quickly understand and resolve the problem. I documented the problems in 2024 and 2019 in the Cox TV Forum under forum userid Jupiter852, and RickH reported the May 2025 occurrence in the Forum. For the last week or so I have been having problems with my internet service. It will go down to about 20 mbs and I have to reboot the modem to get my gigabit speed back. Have to do this about 2 times a day. I am working with Cox support on X but just curious if I'm the only one.Demoleon13 days agoNew Contributor66Views0likes0CommentsHorrible service
Horrible company in everyway possible, look for anyone else. Way more expensive, and constant outages, horrible service, and they will constantly jack up the price and take things away or add additional restrictions to your plan out of the blue with no notice or sign off. They give you a decent deal to get you in the door and on contract and then just screw you from there. When you call in they could care less, been a loyal customer for 10 years and I am paying double what a brand new customer would pay? Later, they used to be the only option. Now there are a ton of internet providers and tv providers and streaming service, you would have to be insane to go with cox. Can get more at half the price.Jmcardos2 months agoNew Contributor26Views1like0Comments- Msbeegee682 months agoNew Contributor55Views0likes0Comments
No Season 7 episode 8 on Outlander
I signed up to Starz on Cox so I could watch the newest episodes of Outlander. But there is a problem. There is no episode 8. It jumps from Season 7 episode 7 to Season 9 episode . Cox has all the rest of the episodes except 8. I contacted Starz but they said this is a Cox problem. Please direct this to the proper person at Cox Comm Omaha and get this rectified.tommurnan2 months agoNew Contributor25Views0likes0CommentsSuspicious Activity Question
I got an email from Cox about suspicious activity involving traffic from an IP address to/from my address and to start monitoring the network logs. Does anyone know where these logs are located? I checked the logs on the panorama modem, but I don't know if those are it since those logs don't include the IP addresses. Any help is appreciated.culhwch3 months agoNew Contributor II69Views0likes0CommentsJeannetay
Sorry your replies got turned off before I could actually answer your question. COX Doesn't have Senior Discounted service. If you got a call concerning that, and was offered that discount, it was a SCAM! Scammers call offering to be from your cable company, your electric company, Etc Etc, for the task of stealing your money. They get people to pay upfront, if you have done this contact your credit card and try to get the charges reversed. I make it my mission to call these people, or answer their calls, and tie them up for as long as possible, because while they are attempting to scam me, (and I know better), they aren't stealing money from someone else. If you even google, "Does Cox offer senior discounts", you get this answer - No Senior Discount: Cox doesn't offer discounts based on age.Darkatt3 months agoHonored Contributor40Views0likes0CommentsGigabit Speed Only on Speedtest.net
Hello there! As the title states, I only see Gigabit speeds on speedtest.net. Any other download or speed test tops out around 550mbps-600mbps. If I turn on a VPN through WireGuard, I get the full gigabit speeds on those same speedtests that only provided 500mbps just a minute before. It seems a lot like aggressive traffic shaping, though I'm thankful that my VPN, which shows up at 'other' in my bandwidth usage, appears to get the same priority as speedtest.net. Maybe because they can't identify the traffic, it bypasses the QoS rules? Does anyone else experience this? This wouldn't be a provisioning issue is it? I am in Ocala, FL.NuclearRat3 months agoNew Contributor55Views0likes0Comments
