Closed caption button on 8820 remote doesn’t work
I had a Cisco 9865HDC dvr and client 4742HDC installed today 12/10/13. Both have a URC 8820 remote and tonight I found that neither unit will toggle the closed caption on and off when the (cc) button on remote is pushed, even though the cable light flashes on remote when pushed. I have to go through settings menu to turn on and off, but teaching my wife this will drive her off the deep end since she uses this function a lot! I read this has been issue for years and was supposed to be corrected in 2012. Has it not been corrected yet or is there a process to make it work? I would have replied to old post, but it seems they have all been locked.4KViews0likes5CommentsClassic Webmail
The enhanced version is so user unfriendly I don't even try to use it. In the classic option, there are fields for CC and BCC, however it doesn't work. The fields should populate with recipient options with the first few letters of a persons name from my webmail address file - right. What's the use of having them there if they are functional? Cox is better than this.2KViews0likes1Commenttrio guide questions
I have recently exchanged older Motorola stb for Cisco 8642HDC. I noticed a few things that I used to be able to do with older guide seem to not be present in Trio, so am wondering if they are possible: movie descriptions do not include ratings (old guide used a 4-star rating system) movie descriptions do not specify "premiere" showings when you're watching a movie and want to see when its on again, you need to enter the movie title in a search function (old guide pre-populated search with current title) also, turning CC on/off takes more steps; is it possible to just implement the CC button on remote?4.3KViews0likes10Comments
