I filed complaint with FCC on April 2nd. Funny , yesterday cox rep managed to give me a call about it. I havn't call them back yet because I know I would be yelling at them for keep lying into my face about their incompetency. So I went to try online game again around 4 - 8 pm. I finally had enough of their incompetency so I filed complaint with FCC on April 2nd. Funny , I got a called from cox rep left me message about FCC. I'm in Vegas and our service is horrendous for the past 4 weeks. Forget the online gaming. Its unplayable to the point where you want to smash your monitor. Like a lot of people on here been having same issue with packet loss thru out the day and specially peak hours. I finally had to file complaint to FCC since cox kept denying there is a big problem with there internet service. I'm thinking about switching to Century Link fiber optic soon. Re: Inconsistent Internet before Covid We are on the same boat buddy. I live in Las Vegas have the same issue over 4 weeks now. Ping would be spiking all over make the online games unplayable. I thought it was my modem ( around 4- 5 yr old ) so I replaced it. Turn out , it wasn't the modem so I called cox. The tech guy told me to do all kind of reboot blah blah blah blah , did that many times and still got same problem. He told me everything is fine. At that point I just gave up arguing with cox. I finally filed complaint with FCC on April 2 and guess what? My internet hasn't spike at all today. Re: Ping Spikes and Jitter Just like most people here , we all have the same problem but cox wont admit is on their end. I spent half hour last night with their tech. Ran the test and everything , he said everything seems ok. I'm thinking I will just switch to Century Link for their fiber optic because I'm getting a runaround from cox.
