Buying Used Cable Modem
I am considering buying a cox supported modem, used. The seller has told me "all devices are considered 'technically destroyed' when they are not on an active account and service provider should reinstate them accordingly" If Cox Representative visits this site .. can you confirm that I can purchase this modem and get it to work on my Cox account? I do have both internet and TV. I think it must be the TV package I have - I have TV Starter but it includes HBO and some advanced TV channels from what they told me. I am not 1000% sure as I am yet to buy a TV yet. I can launch TV Connect successfully on my computer but it only seems to give a few channels like CSPAN. And it only has a record button if I click the actual channel name in the left pane it tells me live tv is unavailable if I am not on my home network.
