ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Right at Noon - Another Webmail Server FailureI have written about this repeated, daily failure of Cox.net classic webmail to serve us subscribers. It is doing it again. At 10:23am I was looking at a message on my classic webmail account (Internet Explorer) and deleted it, returning to the Inbox list and selected three other spam-type items to delete. I has been 4 minutes and the classic webmail has not yet responded to the click to delete the 3 spam-type messges. I opened my Firefox browser and attempted to log in to my classic webmail from there at 10:25am and IT STILL HAS NOT RESPONDED!! It is frozen with a white blank screen, displaying only the Cox "Shop My Account My Connection Support" across the top and some links "Webmail Internet Tools View/Pay Order Services" on the left side. This is very bad customer service from Cox, which pays a lot for advertising about "high speed Internet." Some great service. Sure. ______________ Thanks, Joe Cobb Glendale, Arizona JoeCobb@cox.net .Right at Noon - Another Webmail Server Failure Right at Noon today, I was reading my Inbox and some Saved email messages and the Cox.net server stopped responding. I was using my Internet Explorer 11 browser, with the classic webmail. I immediately loaded and opened my Firefox browser and it also had a very long delay before finding Cox.net sign on page for my classic webmail. Both browsers, as I clicked back and forth, were failing to connect to Cox.net with any speed at all. Both with very long delays. What is going wrong with Cox high speed Internet service? Why are they charging so much for service that is so slow and intermittent. Worse than dial up used to be. ___________ Thanks, Joe Slow webmail I am NOT impressed with Cox service. It took me several minutes right now for my Cox.net classic webmail service to recognize that I had clicked to log in. I will open my Internet Explorer browser and watch the circling wheel as it fails to connect me to my email after clicking to log in, so I will click to open at the same time my Firefox browser, just to watch as it also has a circling wheel that lasts for a few minutes. What is all this advertising ** about "fast Internet"? How about it, Cox, please invest in a few more servers for your email customers, and speed up how rapidly you can recognize that someone is clicking to connect! I should get a rebate of my monthly service charge for this inferior service. ___________ Thanks, Joe *edited by moderator Fraud? I angers me to see an advertisement on the Login page about "Gigablast" and boasting about high speed internet service, while I am sitting here waiting for the Classic Webmail to settle down and recognize that I have clicked to sign on. I am watching the circling wheel from both my Internet Explorer browser (homepage Cox.net) and my Firefox browser (homepage Cox.net). This problem often happens within 5 minutes of the top of each hour in the mornings. I assume it is because of heavy traffic at those hours of the morning. What is the problem? Insufficient incoming ports for too few servers for the webmail service? It seems lie fraud to me, to proclaim the fastest internet service and at the same time to offer subscribers the SLOWEST email service on the market. (To be fair, during these wait times on each browser for the webmail to wake up and answer the click, I have no difficulty checking my bank account on line or accessing any other site on the internet outside of the Cox.net login. I am writing this protest here now because over the past three months, waiting on the phone to talk to a customer service representative has only displayed to me that all of the Cox customer service representatives have no idea what is causing this phenomenon. I have received courteous service, and one month Cox even gave me a credit for my entire monthly bill. Thanks, but I would really prefer faster email connectivity. _____ Thanks, Joe Cobb Glendale, Arizona I am getting tired of waiting more than 5 minutes for a connectionCox Communications is being dishonest with its internet customers. I am referring to the pretense about "High Speed Internet." It is now something I regard as NORMAL that the Cox servers are EVERY DAY overwhelmed around 9:00am and 10:00am because the customer demand for connection to Cox email overwhelms them. INVEST IN MORE PHONE LINES OR PORTALS, dammit. Why are we paying Cox Communications such a high price for "High Speed" when it is never delivered? --- Thanks, Joe Cobb Glendale, ArizonaWHY IS COX WEB MAIL NOT WORKING ?Now your system will not let me sign in to my account at all. What is going on? Why does this chat screen work and my Cox classic webmail does not?SLOW SERVICEWhy is it SO SLOW to sign in to my Cox Classic Webmail account? It takes OVER A MINUTE for any system response to a click on any link. What is going on?Why Does it Take So Long for Cox Internet to Respond? Why does it take more than ONE MINUTE following every click on the Cox.net web site, to access my Classic Webmail, for the Cox server to respond? When I spoke with Cox Technical Support two days ago, I was informed this is "a known issue." What does that mean? Am I - and everyone else - going to get some rebate from our "High Speed Internet" monthly bill for this "known issue"? How many other people are having these slow connection issues? How can we forward mail from cox.net email account to another?I have another email account and I would like to have all my cox.net incoming email forward automatically to my other email account and keep a copy on my cox webmail too. How can this be done?
