XRE-03059 ERROR MESSAGE

Get it together, COX. So many complaints about this XRE-03059 error, with no answers, no resolution. Other complaints on this forum have been “locked” by Cox moderator after providing zero help. Technicians have come and gone (they’re great, but there is only so much they can do). This problem is recurring and needs to be resolved at the plant. We will leave Cox (again) if not resolved this week, along with refund or credit for months of interrupted and expensive service. See “Judy G’s” locked complaint for the exact description of the same recurring issue we have been experiencing for a few months. Feeling ripped off by Cox and disappointed at their lack of any resolution.

continued)....and here is the issue we are having (same as “Judy G”’s post from “two months ago”: While attempting to change channels, we keep getting the on screen error message “We're having trouble on our end.  This channel isn't currently available.  Please try turning away from this channel for a few seconds then tune back to it.  If that doesn't work, Please try again in a few minutes (XRE 03059)." When this happens, the system will not change the channel, it remains on last watched channel, with the above error message on the screen. We have tried all the usual resets and appointments with technicians. What are you going to do about this, Cox?

Hello, we deeply apologize for the ongoing Contour issues, and this could be an indication of a signal-related problem. Do you have a splitter in one of those rooms? If so, we recommend bypassing the splitter for troubleshooting purposes. Are all channels impacted or does this only occur on certain channels? -Kevin M. Cox Support Forum Moderator

No splitter. Happens on any channel at random and it happens every day. Totally unacceptable.

I understand your frustration, and this is not the type of experience we wish to provide our customers. Seeing as that multiple channels are impacted, there is a strong possibility this is a signal-related issue. In the meantime, we would like to schedule another service appointment. Can you please email us at cox.help@cox.com, and include a link to this forum post? -Kevin M. Cox Support Forum Moderator
