Hi Farnums Wife, did the TV come with a remote control? Some remotes have a "CC" button on the remote to activate closed captions. To activate closed captions using the Cox mini box, press the CC button on the Cox mini box remote control. Reference the Cox Support article at www.cox.com/.../changing-closed-caption-settings.html for receiver-specific settings. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator
