Hello pegasusfarm,
Yes. When activating a modem, we would require customers to contact support over the phone or privately not over forum as we require your account information, and details of the modem. Chat, or support over the phone is available https://www.cox.com/residential/contactus.html. Things we would need would be the model, Serial Number, and the MAC once we authenticate with the customer. If you haven't yet purchased a retail modem, then you may check our website here for modems and plans they are supported with: www.cox.com/residential/support/cox-certified-cable-modems.html.
I hope this information is helpful in your quest to find the right modem for your needs and internet plan.
