Why are my upload speeds being throttled?

Lately, my upload speeds have randomly plummeted to below 1mb per second. This has made it impossible to do any kind of live streaming. Can someone from Cox please explain to me why this is happening and what you are going to do about it?

Hello Exmudpuppy,

We never throttle any of our customer's internet speeds. We have seen an increase in internet traffic due to the coronavirus crisis. The issues you're experiencing may be related to higher traffic in your neighborhood. However, we cannot know for sure until we investigate your account. This appears as if you may need someone to look into your account. We would definitely be able to assist you with this. Please reach us on Twitter at @CoxHelp, visit us on Facebook, or email us at cox.help@cox.com. Provide us the name on the account with the complete service address with a link to this thread so we can get started.

Some people often confuse throttling with limiting. If you pay for 20 up. When you get to 20 on a speed test it will go into limiting. Mine is 34 I think, and every time I run a upload speed test it's like it hits a brick wall at that speed. I am sure it could go higher the way it acts. They will only let me go as fast as I pay for.
