I admit, I am nowhere near being 'tech savvy' so to speak; so trying to watch tutorials on youtube and doing some research to try and fix my networking issues has been a nightmare. I don't understand how some devices can connect to the internet just fine (laptop, cellphone, tablet) but others cannot (Alexa echo dot, outside front door security camera) and what I find troubling is they all did at onetime or another. i have gigablast by cox and i do believe i pay $30 extra just to get unlimited data. Its bullshhit paying for a service that only half works. does anyone have any suggestions or can point in the right direction on how to resolve my networking nightmare? please and thank you.

Some Internet Of Things (Alexa, etc) devices only have 2.4 GHz radios and can get confused on a network that has 5GHz and 2.4 GHz. Since the devices that are having trouble are all IOT devices, you probably need to create a unique network name (SSID is the technical term) that is only 2.4 GHz in order for them to work correctly.

Your Dot and Camera had previously connected to your network, but now they've stopped? Has anything changed on your network? What frequency do the Dot and Camera use to connect? What is the make and model of your router?
