How does Cox manage to consistently go down???

The amount of outages in my area is absolutely ridiculous. If it’s scheduled, why don’t I get a heads up? Am I going to be reimbursed for all the time I’m not able to use it? The ONLY reason I have Cox, is because it’s the only option I have. I’ve considered moving to an area with another provider available, but I’m disabled and can’t just do that. Cox is literally the only reason I would give up living where I live. Take that in for a second. If I was able, I would uproot myself just to not have to use this service. Why am I paying for internet to not be able to use it consistently? I’ve had many service providers over the years. I have never once experienced “scheduled maintenance” with AT&T, Spectrum, or even small, local providers. Sure they had outages, but those were few and far between. And if I had an issue they actually resolved it. It takes me 4 chat sessions and 3 phone calls with Cox to do anything. Then when I actually do get to go out of the house, their “sales representatives” try to hound me at Walmart. I gladly spend time as much time with them as I can to prevent them from talking to anyone else. I guess the final step is to contact the FCC to get anything resolved. The internet isn’t a luxury anymore. It’s a necessity. It’s used for most everything. It’s how I deal with any programs or benefits for my disability, but I can’t even access the internet a good portion of the time. If anyone else reads this, save your time and go somewhere else.

The exact same situation is occurring in my neighborhood. It’s not all of the homes only select pockets. Our Internet has gone down every afternoon for at least the last five days in a row. I’ve also recorded at least 16 outages in the last 30 days. I’m sure there have been others that I am not aware of. Cox, what can we do about this?

4 days in a row of outages in my neighborhood is ridiculous.  For the amount of money we pay for service this should.not happen. If its scheduled maintenance then we should at least have some kind of heads up. It affects everything we do day to day. Will there ever be any compensation for the lost service, nope, because all Cox cares about is our money.
