Authentication hangs on idm.east.cox.net

This site seems to be up (via ping), but any authentication I need to do - signing on to my account (cox.com), using TV programs (like HBO GO or Music Choice) - hangs and refuses to connect. My stream on FoxSports Go was constantly stopping and starting as well.
