I need to replace my old Linksys wireless router. What routers are recommended to work with Cox internet service?

What plan are you on? What is the make/model of your modem?

What's your price point? Don't need to be specific, but are you looking for best of the best? Cheapest of the cheap? Something in the middle?
Also, what kind of Wifi devices do you have that you will need to connect? Are they all also Wifi G? If so, it really doesn't matter what router you get, because the router won't be the bottleneck, the devices wireless capabilities are. New router may help a bit, but not as much as if you had modern devices.

All the advice given here by other is great so far. I would simply add that if you're on Premier and wanting to take full advantage of your speeds available I would go with a router that at least has all gigabit Ethernet ports. Many of the entry level routers still made do not have this so read the box carefully when browsing the selection available.
