I have a Netgear 28 wireless router installed by Cox. I use a Netgear 3100 wireless adapter to connect my PC to the router. I use Vista. Generally everything is fine but two or three times a week I loose internet and must restart the computer. There seems to be no reason for this. The wireless adapter screen shows computer connected to router but router not connected to internet. What to do? John

..sounds like your connection to Cox's servers is breaking down couple times a week / aggravating / Have they told you if anything is happening at their end when this issue develops? Maybe by rebooting your computer you are resetting the IP address in your system.

Sounds like to me the computer is losing the connection. Can other computers get online when it happens? If so, I would start by updating the drivers for the adapter. Also, how do you have the wireless configured? Radio band and security?
Last, can you confirm the model number? Cant find any info on a Netgear 28.
