Why does "rhodeisland.cox.net" use an invalid security certificate?
My security software, MacAfee, flags rhodeisland.cox .net as using an invalid security certificate and I need to give explicit exception before I can get on the site.

It appears rhodeisland.cox.net is not a valid web address and therefore we do not have a security certificate for it. Our website has a feature that redirects all invalid requests to cox.com to our main page which is probably why you're seeing the warning. If you visit https://www.cox.com you should get to the same destination.
