Upgrade Modem

Just got this email from Cox about upgrading our modem. We currently have Surfboard SB5101U. Is there any need to upgrade? Thx Bschuck

If you have Preferred or above, definitely yes.  Your DOCSIS 2 modem won't cut the 50 Mbps or above speeds.  If you have Essential and don't plan on upgrading, it's not required but an option.
