How do reset time and date on cable box if resetting it didn't work?

Your Cox Digital Receiver gets the time, date and guide information from our network and cannot be set manually. When you unplug power to reset the box what time displays once the box loads? Are you seeing guide information and able to tune programming on the channels you are subscribed to?
