getting ready to update to windows 10 and wanting to know how I make sure I save all email contacts

This will ultimately come down to where your contacts are stored. If they are all setup in our webmail nothing on the PC will change that. If you use an email program of some sort and they're setup in it this will something that the software vendor for that product would better be able to answer.
