Unable to delete email account.

For the last week I have been unable to delete an email account. This account has been plagued with spam. I wanted to delete and create another email address. Cox website has been unable to perform this simple act. I called customer service and they told me it is an outage and they have no idea of how long it will take to fix. A service outage? Really?

I will give until next week to fix this problem or take my whole bundle to a company that can fix it's problems quickly!

I believe there is already a ticket for this, as I went through the exact problem and troubleshooting a few weeks ago.

In a nutshell, while Cox Reps can delete the desired additional email accounts from their end, it is impossible for the customer to delete from our end.   I banged my head on a wall for quite awhile over this, and finally had to accept it's a website problem and has nothing to do with cache on the client's system.

For the time being, the only way I know to get an additional email account deleted, is to call and ask tech support to do it for you.

For anybody interested in recreating the issue, simply log into your primary email account and create an additional disposable email address.   Then try to delete that email address, and you'll find you can't.

Hope it gets fixed soon, but for now that's all I've got.

This has happened since the website GUI change. The confirm button is links to the link below, so it just keeps asking for confirmation. This has been posted in the forum before. Just goes to show you that suits upstairs in Atlanta take their sweet time doing everything.
