Ultimate speeds and sb6183 diag page?

Hi, I just had ultimate upgrade to me home and my speeds are 179/22. Shouldn't I be getting 200 on the download? also they installed a sb 6183. I have no idea why since I own a sb6190 and already had it in place. Anyway I am trting to access to modem interface at 192.168.100.1 like I did for the 6190 and the page doesn't come up So is this a problem with the speeds or is this acceptable speeds?

Edit to add I tested with my pc hooked directly to modem and the speed is the same.....By the way my router is a ASUS  RT-AC5300 it gets exactly same speeds as my pc connected direct to modem. wirelss or wired make no difference either.

What do you get when you enter 192.168.100.1 into a browser? Error? Blank page?

Also, have you tested direct to the modem?

Last, what public IP are you getting from the router? Can you ping 192.168.100.1?

1. I am now able to get in from the browser page! Chrome was remembering my 6190 and not allowing me in....cleared browser cache and I was successful!

2. Yes I tested directly from modem to pc(no router) and the same speeds

3 Yes I can ping modem

1. Ahh, it is probably the same IP, but different exact HTML. Probably because Motorola is owned by Arris now. Good to know. That negates my question 2 and 3 though.

2. Have you had any one at Cox check your account? Specifically, they need to check the Config file on your modem. You posted a issue a year or two ago where a oddity on your account effected how your account was provisioned. Could the same thing be happening now?

3. What are your signal levels? And how are you testing you speed?  I find this and this site to be best.

@Shane Seaux

Give it a try now and see if it's any better.

2 No I haven't had anyone at cox check my account. That is why I cam here...usually the people here are a higher tier then I usually get when I call in. I don't think this is provisioning because my speeds did increase from previous 120Mb or so with premier, I would think I would get at least 210 with boost speeds for ultimate. ping test and packet loss test are perfect. Its a good solid connection for sure just not quite the speeds I was expecting.

3. I am by no means an expert on signal levels but they look good compared to what I have seen out there.

You are the man buddy! Whatever you did....done the trick. I'm a happy camper now! Seems every time I upgrade the local folks hose it up....Luckily there is always someone here who can help.....It takes a few hours but much less frustrating than staying on hold on the phone!
