is it possible to view slow motion with the latest Cox remote and hd dvr. My old remote had slow motion, but my new one does not seem to have the feature.

Don't know what DVR and remote you have, but try using "pause" then ">>" for forward slo-mo, or "pause" then "<<" for reverse slo-mo. Also, "pause" then right arrow for forward frame-by-frame. This works for any DVR (8642HDC, 8742HDC, 9865HDC) running the Trio/Contour IPG.
