TV remote

When I try to turn on the TV with my remote I have to mess with it.  I just can’t hit power and have it come on.  Another problem I have if I go to the guide and change stations I get this message TEMPORARY OFF CHECK BACK LATER.  I turn the TV off and then go back on and that station is okay so what’s going on?  Does anyone know?

Hi Karen, which model remote do you have? Please describe what you have to do to make it work. What buttons do you press? Have you tried changing out the batteries in the remote?
