TV Remote has become erratic.
Sometimes my remote works, and sometimes it doesn't. I wish I could be more specific, but that's the crux of my problem. I press a button and nothing happens so I press it again and again and again and then, sometimes, it works. It's frustrating! I've replaced the batteries. I'm thinking tht something that should be making contact isn't, or the signal being sent by the remote is just not always going out. This is the Cox supplied URC-8820-CISCO remote

Does any of the lights on the top of the remote blink red when you hit a button? If not, the remote isn't registering the button being press. You can swap the remote at any Solution Store. Do you know where the store is located?

This happened to me. I had to hold down some buttons to get them to work. I took the remote to the Cox Store and they didn't ask any questions; just handed me a new remote.
