Throttle down
I have a 250 GB limit on my monthly use, I have exceeded that and all of a sudden yesterday started noticing that the internet is much slower, although I exceeded the limit about a week ago. Does COX throttle the internet speed down once you exceed your monthly cap until the next cycle kicks in, or could it be something else that's wrong with the internet?

The conversation of the data limit has come up a few times on this forum, and people have reported receiving email warnings, but never any kind of throttling. And most people who exceed their data limits are usually very intolerant of any throttling so if it was a issue, you would think it would be a widely known issue. The few mentions of throttling are usually from people looking at their torrent seeds and transfer rates, and those usually turn up to be either congestion or LAN networking issues.
But can you give examples? Have you noticed the speeds getting slower from only certain sites or services? Do you mean video streaming or lag in a game?
