These Rate Increases are getting out of hand

Really Cox, a $6 increase for the internet.  All I have to say is you are lucky you have a monopoly in my area or else I would kick you to the curb.  Every year you guys raise your rates and the service stays the same.  Over a 10% rate hike this year, I will definitely let everyone I come in contact with know  to go with AT&T if it is offered to them.  Can't wait to see how much greedy Cox  raises rates again next year.  Good job Cox.

I am not even flaming, but what did you expect? Did you want Cox to post a apology? Were you looking for people to agree with you? Empathy? I just don't understand the point of these posts. Sorry

I was just wondering this as I was about to pay it, still going to give a call and see why it's up $6 with no performance increase so thank you for the post leardriver. Its one of those things where if you let a company increase peoples bill for 2 bucks one year with little complaint...why not 4 bucks the next year...5 the next year, now 6.

I want to say the same thing, leardriver! These fee increases are outrageous! Only serveral months passed since their last fee increase of $4.. and now they go up $6 with no performance/service improvement. I am not amused and actively shopping around for other options, maybe Verizon Fios.

I wish Cox could give a better explanation of the fee increase, and complaints could be more useful than you might think.

I got hit with a $6 increase as well, and will be cancelling Cox after the holidays.  I know CenturyLink isn't much better as far as caring for the customer, but I'm willing to make the switch just to give Cox the big middle finger.

There has been no extra services added to our internet that justify this BIG rate increase! Sure, Cox added a speed increase in July 2013. However, all the other services; the online back up, virus protection, etc, are the same that we have always had with your internet service. Cox email needs serious updating and remember this year when Cox email was down completely for 2 to 3 weeks this year? After that major inconvenience we got hit with an increase, now another one?? I think the media needs to broadcast this "service" to your customers again because back in July when Cox announced it on all media outlets, you guys failed to mention that you were going to hit your customers up with double increases for internet. What a bad way to do business. This is exactly why I dropped your cable and got satellite...numerous rate increases, lack of customer loyalty. VERY SAD!!!

You know what doesn't help Health Edge?  YOU.  Why are you even posting here if you have absolutely NOTHING to add to the conversation?

How much does Cox pay you to troll the forums and make others feel like they have no right to complain about a service they pay for?
