I am stationed in Atsugi Japan.. I keep getting denied for access to US websites for things such as ABC, CBS and NBC to watch shows and can't use NETFLIX...can I connect my laptop here through my desktop that is wired and running on Cox internet in the states in Virginia. I would think I could connect to my desktop IP and be able to access as if I was in the states right?
Please help

You should probably use a proxy server - google it and results will explain how to change your IP address's country of origin to work around the blocks.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but officially that would be against item 5 of the acceptable use policy. since in order to use your Cox account to present a US IP you would have to set up a server of some type.
I'm going to have to close this thread, since we can't help with it, and can't condone violating the AUP.
