Speed Test

The 'Speed Test' function on your site requires Adobe Flash!  IOS DOES NOT support Flash!  Get this sorted out folks!  I'm paying for 'up to' 150MBPS... 3rd party speed tests show I've actually been getting around 45MBPS, more or less, for the last two months... WHY?

I realize OMBPS meets your 'up to' scam... But I thought you'd be better than 45... Not good!

If you are using iOS, you are obviously testing over WiFi.  What standard, n or ac, and what band, 2.4 or 5GHz, are you using.  What router or gateway are you using?  Can you test with a wired, gigabit connection direct to the modem?  That's the only way to really see what you are getting from the Cox network and eliminate WiFi from the equation.  Just a note, 45Mbps is normal for wireless n on the 2.4GHz band, I wouldn't expect much more unless you go to the 5MHz band and wireless ac.  If you want to continue troubleshooting, please post answers to these questions, thanks.

How exactly do you want Cox to "get sorted"?

By implementing a speed test capability on your site that doesn't require 'flash'...

I'm using a Cisco Cable Modem recommended by Cox and purchased from you.  It's wired to a Linksys E3000 dual band wireless router!  Router operates WiFi at both 2.4 and 5 GHZ. Really don't want to eliminate WiFi from the equation.... Currently have an iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, and two WeMo devices connected using WiFi... I simply thought I could expect better than 45Mbps on a plan advertising 150Mbps... (But I realize that's 'up to')...

First, to set the record straight, you didn't purchase it from me ... both Tecknowhelp and myself are customers like you just trying to help out.  Neither of us are Cox employees.

If you want to troubleshoot, I am glad to help.  It is very difficult though if we can't eliminate WiFi.  First thing to do is isolate the issue to either the cable feed / modem or the router / WiFi.  You still didn't say which band and standard you were using when running your tests.  The E3000 is dual band but wireless N300 so at least part of you issue maybe the router/WiFi.  I know it's rated at 300Mbps but in the real world you won't get anywhere near that.

If you don't want to troubleshoot and just here to rant, that's fine too.  I won't bother you any more.

Le sigh. I don't understand why you would come to a public forum asking for help if you don't want to take their advice. You need to isolate a problem before you can fix it, and finding out if its WAN or LAN is first step. Google and find another forum and get a 3rd opinion if you don't believe us. Heres one.
