Slow U/D speeds over last week.
Over the last 1-2 weeks I have noted that my network speeds have dropped down to almost useless. It seems worse at night, almost to the point of taking 1-2 minutes to load a single web page. I have run virus scans from 3 different programs and the computer itself is clean. My modem is a Scientific Atlanta DPC2100R2. This hooks into a D-link router. I tried finding on the Cox website the manual or "how to" to log direct into the modem to get the diagnostic, etc but the link was dead. At this point I am not sure if it is the modem, line or servicing in the area, (zip 85301). If someone can point me in the right direction?

I'd recommend bypassing that dlink, hardline in direct to modem (be sure to reset the mdm again so DHCP kicks in). See if fares any different.
The concern with WIFI is that there are too many "what if's". If you can rule your router out (which if you dont cox will "suggest" you do anyways) might as well find out. IF your speeds still are bad going direct, call cox, they'll check the modem status and see whats up!

Nothing particularly alarming stands out when I look at the modem status. Have you had a chance to try without the router to see if you still experience the same problems?

Having the same issues, but not only with UL/DL, but with internet surfing in general (zip 85142). Hardwired computer directly to modem, didn't solve it. Tethered my computer to my smartphone and had absolutely zero issues whatsoever, so I know it's not the computer.
Is cox having ongoing internet service issues? Has it even been looked into? Poor connectivity even prematurely ended my on-line chat with a support tech.

I've noticed the same thing that started last week. Last night was shot and didn't resolve until later this morning. I have two Apple Extreme routers and have done the whole connecting directly to the mac, but it does the same thing. SLOW!!!! I've swapped the routers to ensure the routers weren't the problem, but it continues. It is now day and the connection seems to have picked up a bit and I'm able to use it again. But it is getting ridiculous. Seems there's some sort of problem on Cox's side that we aren't being informed about.

I'm beginning to think that this is systemic. My speeds (85379) have dropped dramatically as well. Netflix streaming service is now worthless. Web pages taking up to a minute to render. I've got speed tests coming back between 200kbs - 1.2mbs, all well below the "promised" up to 18Mbs...

Same here. (70508) speeds have been crappy over the last few months... My upload speed is better than my download speed... I've been getting disconnects more frequent... Family has over 30 years with Cox.... Might have to start looking elsewhere to give our money...
