Hello.
For a few months now I have been having issues when playing games online. I seem to randomly disconnect from Warcraft but can instantly reconnect. Playing other games such as Company of Heroes the game will pause during a disconnect and require the server after a second or two and play on.
I've tried power cycling the modem, and a few other things suggested by Blizzard's Tech Support but no change.
I've also noticed that the event log in my C6300 netgear has been getting a stream of events titled as follows.
*time* Warning (5) Lost MDD Timeout.
and it also seems that the second light on my C6300 (I'm guessing it's the downstream light since its a down arrow )
Randomly flashes green now and then before going solid again.
Even after I power cycle.
The Co-Axle cable I have the modem plugged into is pretty old. I am going to change it out tomorrow and see if that effects anything.

I got a reply email from Cox. The tech said that I have the latest version approved by cox.
I am still seeing disconnects and my light still randomly flashes.
I'm also a little worried by these logs.

The signals don't look good when I check from this end. Are there any cable splitters you can try bypassing to see if that helps?

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply. I have taken out the cable splitter that we had the Router connected to. Which wasn't really needed anymore since we no longer have cable TV.
The Router is now using a different Co-Axle cable and is plugged directly into the cable port in my upstairs bedroom.
Haven't seen the download light flashing yet, so I hope the old splitter or cable is all the problem was.
I'm trying to convince my dad we need to get Gigablast !

Great. I've also noticed it does seem better. The Downstream light hasn't been randomly flashing like it had been. I have yet to be disconnected randomly from either warcraft nor any of my other online games, and I have noticed steaming netflix seems to be much smoother.
As long as this continues and nothing else seems to effect our cable, I think Im going to try to get Gigablast at the start of march.
Thanks for the help!
