SBG6580 drops connection intermittently
Recently I have noticed that my internet connection will drop every 30-60 minutes. I am using a Motorola SBG6580, when this happens all devices drop connection (phones/desktops, wired/wireless) and I am no longer able to even PING the modem. It will resolve itself after about 1-2 minutes, all the lights on the modem act normal and do not indicate any problem. Please help, this is very annoying, and I'd rather not go buy a new modem/router any insight would be appreciated.

The modem side of things looks fine however this is an integrated modem/router device so there's potential for problems on the router side which we would not be able to see from here. Do wired Internet connections also drop when this happens?

It may be necessar for a technician to come out and troubleshoot further. One possibility is trying a stand alone modem to see if you still have issues.
