When you lose the internet, do you also lose phone service? If so, what are the signal levels of the modem? Should find them on 192.168.100.1. If not, then what do the lights look like on the router?

Do you also have the same modem? If so, can you answer the same questions I asked him? Or if you want, make a new thread. This is a national forum so it's unlikly that your two problems are related. What area are you reporting problems in?

Ok so that rules out alot. Sounds like some kind of sync issue, where the modem is receiving signal but for some reason can't use it to communicate with Cox. Next step would be to look at those signal levels. Either a moderator can with personal info they may have on file, or you can post them here from the 192.168.100.1 webpage page. Will look like this.
