Recording multiple programs with whole home dvr
I have whole home dvr and am unable to record 2 programs that overlap in time and also watch tv (a 3rd channel) without stopping one of the recordings. Is this normal? I would think I could record and watch tv at the same time with all this high tech stuff. No?

are you trying to watch and record on the same tv? if you are you can't do that the box only has 2 tuners. you can record up 2 programs and watch one of those, or watch a recorded program. or watch on a different tv

The DVR is limited to two tuners. This basically means only two channels can be tuned at any given time. You can use both tuners to record or one to record and the other to watch live TV. Depending on market you may be able to add another host box to your whole home DVR which would give you two additional tuners to work with.

Whole Home DVR does allow multiple host boxes to be used each of which having two tuners. This may be what they were talking about.

If you have Trio (whole home) you can record on the host, have another smaller box called a client, and watch live tv on the client (smaller box) for a total of 3. I don't know how many clients you can have.
