received phone call disconnects my internet
Anyone ever heard that when you receive a phone call your internet service is temporarily interrupted. ( I have cox phone and internet service) I am home working and I have to log in via a secure VPN connection and every time the phone rings, i get bumped off my network at work. This is extremely frustrating.

The 1st problem that comes to mind when I hear a problem description like this is there being a 2.4Ghz cordless phone within range of a wifi router that's also being used for Internet. If this describes your situation you'll either want to move the phone's base station as far away from your wifi as possible or consider replacing the phone with one that uses a newer wireless technology that doesn't interfere with 2.4Ghz.

I had this same problem a few years ago and it was exactly as ChrisL wrote. When I moved my WiFi on my laptop to the 5Ghz band of the router the issue stopped as I did have a cordless 2.4Ghz phone.
