price increase

i have been a loyal customer for 10+ years and have seen my internet only service price increase quite drastically and I am concerned. Jan 2015, my price was $47.99 and now March 2016, price is $73.49 ... a 65% price increase. I did upgrade my service as a trial period to see if i noticed a difference in speed. I don't notice any difference in speed. I called today to discuss my options and the rep was not very pleasant and had a condescending tone in her voice. She did offer a $7/mo discount for being a 'loyal' customer but the new priceof $66/mo is still $11/mo more than a new customer, who have promos for $54.99/mo. So, after her persistent unpleasant tone, i decided to cancel service, effective 4/11.

I will be investigating other options such as Century Link and mobile hotspot with my unlimited data at LTE speeds for home use.

But I like Cox and their service, just not the ever increasing costs with little extra value. Is there anything anyone can do to help keep me as a loyal customer?
