Hello, there have been a few recent posts addressing the same issue I'm having and seems that mods are able to help. Tiers were recently upgraded to run at higher speed but after the increase I am still running at my old speed on downstream (~30mbps) when it should be 50mbps. My upload seems to have increased but not down. I've reached out to several techs over the phone with no luck. I have gone as far as buying a new Motorola SB6141 from a SB6120 thinking the additional channels would help. This wasn't the case so now I turn to these forums. If a mod can help it would be much appreciated!

Hello M43S7RO,
I'll be glad to help you with the speed issue that you are having. The modem that you are using, is it connected to a router or directly to the computer. If it is connected to a router, I would recommend bypassing it to see if the speeds improve. If you provide the MAC address I can take a look at the modem signal levels and other information. I may also need to take a look at the account to make sure that everything is correct. Let me know what happens!

Derrick, thanks for the help, can you not look up my mac address by looking at my acct? Is it safe to post a MAC address on a public forum? If I could dm you the number or you look at my account I would be more comfortable with that.
btw, I have tried testing speed by bypassing the router and there has been no difference in speed. I have an asus rt n56u which is rated at over 1k mbps throughput so I'm pretty sure the router is not the issue.

This is a very similar post with the described issue identical to mine, whatever KipK did seems to be the fix:

If you didn't yet have a DOCSIS 3.0 modem when the speed changes took effect your account was probably setup for Premier at 25Mbps due to limitations of legacy modems. I would speak with sales and make sure your account is setup with the Premier HSI service code for DOCSIS 3.0 modems.
