Pandora Music on Contour(Record 6) DVR

Pandora is a fun feature of the Contour Record 6 DVR.  But it seems to have more than the usual amount of problems when using it thru the DVR ( there are seldom any problems using Pandora on a computer).  Out of any week, there will be 3 days where the Pandora service is functioning poorly. For example:

-a song will stop playing in the middle and the next song will appear

-the time bar under the song will show that the song is playing but no music comes out

-the remote control will have a long lag. i press the button to switch "stations" and nothing happens for 30 seconds.

Does Cox know about the problems?  There are more than the 3 listed above.  I imagine that it is difficult to integrate an online service with the broadband.  I have rebooted the DVR but i don't want to do that daily to get Pandora to work.

Last night the messages "technical difficulties"  and "we are doing maintenance" appeared when using Pandora.  I am talking about problems that have appeared for months; not just last night..  Does anyone have any hints for making the service perform better.

I am not using any splitters. All of my connections are tight. I have one DVR and one tv.  Cisco Record 6.

@DerrickW, thanks for your reply.  The box is 2 years old and works well.  I have to reboot it every 30-45 days when it freezes or won't respond to the remote.  But it does a great job recording shows.  I just wondered if anyone else had any problems with Pandora.  It is not an everyday thing.  Just a few days a week where Pandora is balky.  Then it will work fine.

Hi yak,

It sounds like there may be some software issues with Pandora on this particular box.  Have you had it replaced for this issue?
