outdated router
I still have the old Scientific Atlanta 2100 that I was given in 2008...ive read that Cox doesn't even recommend these to use with their service anymore...seems like I would've been offered an upgraded one sometime in the last 7 years...could explain why my internet is so slow.
oh and ps..surprise surprise im having email issues again

I think you answered your own question. Sounds like you have a old modem. Did you buy it to begin with? If so, you would need to buy a new one too. Were you looking for suggestions?

They may have included the price of the modem in the install, but I don't think they gave you a modem. Either way, they don't give away modems for free today. You can either rent a gateway, or buy a modem.
